Welcome to the Hypnotherapy part of my website. Hypnotherapy is an amplifier
for your intentions. As well as helping you overcome fears, addictions
or unwanted behaviour, hypnotherapy can also be used to increase your
positive qualities like self esteem, confidence, inner strength and
calm.

1. WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?
Hypnosis is a very natural state that occurs when we are deeply relaxed (as in meditation or daydreaming) or highly focused on something (reading a book or watching TV). If you meditate then you already know how enjoyable and relaxing hypnosis is. I am a Hypnotherapist (not a hypnotist) and I am experienced in helping you reach this relaxed state, in order to achieve your positive intentions. It really is simple. 2. HOW SAFE IS HYPNOTHERAPY?
Most people are actually more
aware of what is going on, not less. You will realise that you are entirely
free to think your own thoughts, and stop at any time you choose..
As always, the therapy part is as safe as the therapist you choose.
Therefore choosing a therapist who has been recommended is a good idea,
and one you feel comfortable with is of course important.
3. HOW DOES HYPNOTHERAPY ACTUALLY HELP?
As children we were very sensitive to suggestions and influences around us. We soaked up information that was sometimes limiting and negative, occasionally even from adults around us with the best intentions who thought they were protecting us. As adults we can still be influenced every day by other people’s negative words including negative suggestions and images in the media, sometimes without even realising it.
In a relaxed hypnotic state where your thinking is clear, calm or still, it is possible to communicate directly with the subconscious mind, replacing unwanted negative programming with new images, ideas, and intentions. What we are doing is rewiring the software in your brain which would otherwise have you habitually responding in the same old way, unable to believe anything could change. Hypnotherapy avoids the great effort needed when you are relying only on the conscious mind. Hypnotherapy amplifies your good intentions and fast tracks you forward to where you want to be.
Hypnotherapy can be used to help in many different ways. As well as helping you overcome phobias, smoking or other unwanted habits. Hypnotherapy can also be used to increase your positive qualities, like self esteem, confidence, inner strength and calm.

5. IS A DEEP STATE OF HYPNOSIS NECESSARY?
No. A light state of hypnosis can actually work better in some cases.
6. CAN ANYONE BE HYPNOTISED
Yes, providing they want to be. There are various ways to help a person into this relaxed state.
7. WHAT HAPPENS DURING A FIRST VISIT?
For your first visit, at your request I can book you in for an extended session and your first twenty minutes will be a FREE, NO OBLIGATION CONSULTATION, after which we can both decide if we would like to continue.
If we decide to continue then further time is spent building a picture of your needs and doing preparatory and supportive work, concluding with an initial hypnosis.
8. WHAT IS THE COST AND TIME INVESTMENT?
Hypnotherapy sessions are charged at £50. If it is a simple case of gaining some more confidence for a wedding speech or driving exam, then one single session alone will make a significant difference.
Hypnotherapy can also be used to support you alongside Personal Development or other therapies.
